Planning Manager (Stoughton, WI)


Essential Functions:
Lead a team of supply and/or demand planners that manage the flow of materials coming into the organization from suppliers, working closely with the buying team.
Ensure that job orders and supporting transfer orders are generated on a timely basis to support manufacturing and material control for timely delivery of component needs at Stoughton site locations.
Develop seamless working relationships with manufacturing leadership and material control at site locations.
Develop internal relationships for continuous improvement of delivery, quality, and cost by actively meeting with and communicating to stakeholders the needs of the organization.
Solve material shortage issues by directing team to expedite late orders or work with Engineering for alternate material and Sourcing for alternate suppliers.
Provide leadership to the team of planners in the management of the item database and planning factors that will lead to value for the organization.
Participate in the new order and material selection process to support new product development, improve current products, lower costs, and improve manufacturing processes without sacrificing quality or safety.
Organize and maintain department metrics of; Lead Time, On Time Delivery, Action Messages, PO Acknowledgements, Inventory Turns, and Purchase Price Variance.
Participate in the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process by leading the planners through any changes defined in the ECR processAdditional
Responsibilities:
Analyze sales orders and bills of materials for future jobs to ensure material available and on current jobs to manage excess material.
Participate in Supply Chain Strategic Deployment initiatives by leading team on projects assigned such as, implementing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Supplier Manual creation, Reducing non-returnable packaging, etc.
Develop and maintain a career development plan for each of the team members that will provide succession planning and cross training to ensure continued support of the organization by the team.

Knowledge and Skill:
Education:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management and at least 5 years of experience in the planning field or in a related area.
CPM, CPSM, CSM, or Equivalent Preferred Experiences in a variety of materials and procurement concepts, practices, and procedures.
Project management skills that are cross functional.
Solid communication skills external and internal to the organization Experience with global sourcing a plus.
Willingness to travel between site locations as needed, up to 10%.
Must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility of the job satisfactorily in accordance with Company productivity and quality requirements.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Vision requirement 20/40 distance (with or without correction) visual acuity distance using Snellen Method Guidelines and Purdue Job Standards.
