Solid Dose Lead

Position Overview
Under the direction of the Solid Dose Supervisor, the Solid Dose Lead will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of day to day operations including resolution of product, personnel, and machinery issues. The Lead person provides direction and support for Solid Dose Machine Operators. They function as the primary back-up for Solid Dose Supervisor. The Solid Dose Lead is responsible for assisting in the driving of all department operations in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and quality.
Work Hours
8:00am-6:30pm, Monday-Thursday or as job responsibilities require
  • Complete Solid Dose daily production reports
  • Troubleshoot product and machine related issues
  • Communicate with supporting departments regarding all production related concerns
  • Provide direction to machine operators to ensure that machines are operating at optimal speed, and changeovers are performed within the established guidelines
  • Provide direction to solid dose employees to ensure paperwork and all related processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist supervisor in developing and implementing departmental goals
  • Interpret data and apply to departmental goals
  • Assist supervisor in prioritizing production
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Perform daily/weekly calibration and/or cleaning of all required equipment
  • Assist the supervisor in developing and implementing the required training for the operators to ensure all regulatory and quality standards are met
  • Assist supervisor in establishing best practices procedures
  • Assist supervisor with the administration of progressive discipline
  • Provide operator performance feedback to Supervisor to assist with performance evaluations
  • Ensure that all Safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership position preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in a food processing environment preferred
  • Experience working with powders and high speed manufacturing equipment preferred
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Knowledge of Solid Dose operations
  • Skills in troubleshooting product/machine related issues
  • Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
